Hötebürg 1945 - scale 1/35

“Isn't that the guy who was in ‘Prometheus’ ?”

An easy-to-make diorama that looks great in the end... A Warhammer scenery box served as the base. Only the statue is used. The inspiration comes from Hitler’s grandiose ideas, as he wanted his architect Albert Speer—who would later become Minister of War—to erect monumental structures in his memory...

First thing: The statue is assembled using liquid glue and filled with putty in certain areas (the hollow sword is filled with putty). Flock is applied and glued to one side with wood glue to simulate moss. A more imposing base is created using extruded polystyrene and lightweight cardboard...

After sanding—a coat of white primer from a spray can...

After 24 hours of drying—the figurine is then painted with Humbrol oil-based paint in Gray 66, while the base is painted with Liquitex acrylic paint...

A heavily thinned coat of Humbrol Matte Black is applied to the model, followed by drybrushing with a flat sable brush using Gray 140, which is then softened with white. Next, add chipping effects with a fine brush to show wear on the stone. Sand Yellow 94 and 63 are added to certain areas...

Shade the entire piece with a diluted wash—using a fine brush—made from Umber, a little black, and Winsor & Newton Sienna. Once everything is dry, lighten it further with small strokes and add highlights...

We do the same with the foam and the base. From darkest to lightest...

Statue of a warrior in armor, sword lowered, on a cracked stone pedestal, with a mossy patina

The figurine is finished...
