The idea here was to include it in a closed array...

The chart summarizes the plot... The Reticuli system, featuring the gas giant Calpamos and the planet LV-426 (third from the left), where the wreckage of the Alien will be discovered... We see the Nostromo leaving the planet in the first movie...
