70 meters from the coast, at a depth of 25 meters, lies a 12-meter-long Japanese biplane called "Pete" by the Allies - the Mitsubishi F1 M2. Its small size meant that it could be housed on ships, launched by crane and then recovered. With only the central float ruptured, it's likely that the wreck sank as a result of a false maneuver on a ship or during an air attack...
