The story seems to concern the efforts of the SHUTORAL DEMOKRATISCHE REPUBLIK to take over the world, and Australia in particular, at the end of the 2800's. The whole thing is reminiscent of the famous comic strip "The Secret of Swordfish", and uses "futuristic" technology with a retro, 1940's nostalgic flavor. Apparently, Germany and Great Britain are still at war...
The series of models, of which there are around 25 in various scales, is occasionally produced in small numbers. Since then, other injection-molded plastic kits have appeared. These models are among the most detailed of their kind. Several scales are available. From the 1/76th and 1/20th of the early days, we now find (at least with difficulty in France) 1/16th and 1/35th - ideal for use with panzers - and two 1/6th scale suits! Since then, resins have been released, including heads and figures, and numerous conversions have been created, pushing the limits of originality as the Japanese know how to do...
Since this article, the range has expanded to include 1/35th-scale suits and vehicles, as well as figurines and accessories. And don't forget the 1/6th scale diving suit !!
