This old, large 1.30-meter diorama, in 1/35th scale, tells the story of a caravan's arrival at a watering hole in the Hoggar desert, and the discovery of the wreckage of a craft from... elsewhere. The craft is assembled from salvaged parts. The camels are from the Saharan company's HELLER brand - all modified - and the soldier figurines are transformed into Tuaregs. The rocks are made from plaster and sculpted from photos on a wire frame and plaster band.
After destroying the diorama, part of it was recycled to create a new, much smaller set and an encounter with a UFO...
